Central Southland and McGregors Concrete work next door to the Fiordland national park, and are asked to work within the park on occasion.

This trip took them across Lake Manapouri to West Arm, and then up and over the Wilmot Pass down to Deep Cove where they were working on fixing storm damaged culverts.

This is very remote country. It’s not a big trip mileage wise, but add a couple of hours each way just to cross the lake, and the return haul up and over the Wilmot – it’s a dawn to dusk trip.
