International trucks are assembled by Intertruck which operates the only heavy-vehicle assembly plant in the country.

Hilton Fletcher put this International 9800i ProSleeper cabbed-Eagle to work in 2013, and supporting the product and what Intertruck has achieved in New Zealand was an important part of the decision.

Seen here working in Eskhead Station deep in the Lake Sumner region in the Hurunui district – the truck is most definitely no-tarmac show-pony, and earns its keep working in places more usually visited by Landcruisers…
