Now in its third generation, Road Metals has gained fame for a number of reasons – not least of all, founder Stan Francis’s decision to buy Mack in the day when modest British trucks were the mainstay of the industry.

They eased out of Dodge, Thames, Bedford, ERF and Foden into Mack and Volvo and the company is now one of most admired in the country.
