West Otago Transport is located in Heriot, and along with Tuapeka Transport, Clinton Waipahi, Beckers and Buchanan Transport work under the Road Transport Logistics umbrella in Otago.
These shots show West Otago’s early years of reliance on Bedford, Ford and GMC as so many rural companys did in the fifties and sixties.
The equipment they operate now still works under the old company colours for each of those company names, but the gear is a lot more capable….
