Volvo - Upper Clutha crossing Lake Wanaka

To access Minaret Station on the far side of Lake Wanaka requires being barged from the landing slip at ‘The Nek’.

Tim Wallis bought this barge from the equipment sell-off auctions from the Lake Manapouri West Arm project, years, if not decades prior to him buying Minaret Station during the height of his live deer capture career.

Everything goes across the Lake, be it by barge or helicopter, and Upper Clutha Transport are regular visitors.
