Andrews Nissan Diesel Livestock

MD4802 was the first Nissan Diesel sold by CVC and it went to Andrews Transport of Riversdale in Southland.
This model proved particularily popular in Southland and Otago the CWA series help establish the brand in the region.

Nissan Diesel were gaining quite a foothold as the era of the British truck waned, but they were able to hold their own as American and other European brands started competing in what was for many decades the most over-saturated market in the world for the shear quantity of brands for the size of the market.

Nissan produced a no-frills truck which was a pleasure to drive compared to many of its contempories, and Andrews weren’t adverse to giving them a try as did many other operators in Southland and Otago.
