…the Archive explained…

Truckarchive aims to save and archive our photographic and videographic material in order that some of our stories can be told.

This is YOUR website.

You can add to this store of knowledge be it by caption or photograph.

The architecture behind this site now allows for  viewer Uploads and the ability to comment on any photo on these pages.

HOW?

Collectively, every image and video on this site is a resource to be used to tell our story.

Ultimately, every image will be categorised into relevant files according to company, make, model, era and application.

Truckarchive supplied most of the images and footage to create the ‘Truck Files – a New Zealand story’, which was created to educate the public about the importance of our industry and aired on free-to-view tv early this decade.

Our most recent production – ‘The CVC story behind the UD Trucks badge’ – was only possible due to the resources of this archive.

We have over 1,000 images, scans, interviews, spec sheets and other bits and pieces to throw into the mix from the archive.

We have many more video projects on the go, and are constantly adding new photo galleries – you can  help us by clicking on this link  – and you’ll will be kept in the loop with weekly links to new content as it is uploaded.

Click on the links below to view some of the images that went into producing the video above.

These galleries can be added to. If you have a good, historic, interesting or unique image in jpg format – you can self load, and tell its story in the caption.
