Back in the ’80’s and ’90s, Mack provided much of the muscle to move heavy gear around, and were thick on the ground around Clyde and Cromwell while the Clyde Dam and Lake Dunstan were being built.
Higgins’ R797 Mack was often sighted in the region, and is seen here rigged up to move one of the company scrapers.
