Classic Pix – Freight Haulage Nissan Diesel
Freight Haulage of Invercargill was a respected and well established entity in the South, but come to grief, as so many other transport companies did, when they were drawn into the Transpac fold.
Within a few years of its conception in the mid-eighties, Transpac went belly up, leaving chaos in its wake – but before the Freight Haulage name was lost, this Nissan’s portrait was taken that memorialises a better time.
The alloy tri-axle semi tipper was a big deal at the time, and this combo certainly as a handsome workhorse in a region where Nissans out-numbered every other brand thanks to the efforts of CVC.
Freight Haulage has been back on the scene for some time however, being now under the HWR Group umbrella.
