Classic Pix – Wedding’s Scania

Not many 112H Scania’s were seen on New Zealand roads, but this one that went to work for L.H. Wedding and Sons in the mid- eighties as a tipper – was one of the most eye-catching.

Set up with a four-axle alloy trailer, which was head-line stuff back then as smart operators geared up to make the most of the efficiencies that came with the new weights and dimensions of the era – the truck set the benchmark for bulk material cartage being at the forefront of this configuration .

Often regarded as an odd-ball – a European conventional along-side the Volvo N10 –  it was nevertheless a well regarded truck in its day.
