Diesel Dog - Alexandra Transport's MC Mack

Back in the eighties, Alexandra Transport were easy to spot on the road – being Purple and mainly Mack.

One of the easiest to recognise was Diesel Dog as the MC Mack had one of the most recognisable profiles in the game, with that deep-windscreen hard to mistake for anything else.

This tractor is seen here with a single-axle semi and a three-trailer – the industry was still finding its feet after deregulation and all manner of odd combinations were plying the roads before guys like Kerry Arnold of the RTA hammered them into shape.

Road Metals were another fan of this model and they had a few in the fleet at the time as well on aggregate haulage and spreading.
