Road Metals are well known for their modern Mack and Volvo fleet, but founder Stan Francis started out with whatever was available at the time in the sixties.

He was quick to realise the significance of the Mack brand, and bought numbers 2,3 and 4 of the first four R-series Macks to reach our shores in the seventies.
