Looking back - Hammond & McIntyre

Hammond & McIntyre Heavy Haul operated some interesting equipment in the fifties, and were often used by Cable Price to move their equipment.

Frank Benson worked for Cable Price in equipment sales, and was a keen photographer, and he snapped many of these pictures.

Hammond & McIntyre used a range of ex-WW11 trucks such as their ‘Frankenstein’ – an International M5H-6 that had been fitted with the cab and part of the bonnet from a Commer S or T-series truck.

Also featured amongst these pics is their Thornycroft normal control Trident.
