Freightliner Coronado - Summerland's Jelley baby

2011 saw the first Freightliner Coronado start work on our shores, and it was powered by a Detroit DD15 – and this combination created quite the stir at the time.

Driven by Arthur Jelley, the truck spent all of its first million kilometres working the Cromwell to Christchurch run over the Lindis Pass so was no stranger to big climbs in harsh country.
