Looking back - Temuka Transport
Temuka Transport was established in 1967 when Rowdy and Margaret Aitken, and three others, purchased an ailing transport business in Temuka.
Within ten years the three partners had left the business leaving the Aitken family to create what is now one of the most professionally run and widely admired transport businesses in New Zealand.
Rowdy was awarded the Queens Service Medal for outstanding services to the community in 2008, and in 2014 was inducted into the New Zealand Road Transport Hall of Fame.
