Nigel Hope produced an excellent history of British Pavements in 2002, a book that covered 60 years of the company before it was acquired by, and became the Canterbury branch of Fulton Hogan.

His talents also covered video production and he compiled a video record of British Pavements, which has some wonderful footage of the early days of road construction and paving.

Nigel also recorded his career with Fulton Hogan history, which also has some marvellous footage, in particular, the seventies.

Although  much of this footage shows the limitations of the film cameras of the day, we owe Nigel a huge debt for the massive effort he put  into both the book and these videos.

Collectively these videos provide an almost unique historic look into an industry that gets little recognition for its efforts, and they are a gold mine of clips for those of us that value our history.
