The GMC collection

No other truck was as important to re-igniting New Zealand’s economy that was the ex-military GMC’s that were left over after world war two.

Sitting on our shores after use in the Pacific theatre, these trucks were slated to be reconditioned and sent back into the fray – namely – the expected invasion of the Japanese mainland.

The abrupt end of the war in the Pacific after the dropping of two nuclear devices left are large number of vehicles on our shores.
